Does this look like a guilty face to you?

Sometimes I have to go to my bedroom to feed Kayla to keep her from being distracted. Usually Jack follows us in there, but today he was way too quiet. I even tried calling him and he wouldn't answer. But would you answer your Mommy if you discovered that she left the pantry open and you could reach the cookies!???

All dressed up like a little man for church.
This is my new favorite picture of Kayla.
We have truly been blessed with two very happy children!

Kayla tried cereal for the first time this week. It didn't take her long to figure out that if she opened her mouth she would get sometime to eat. She even tried to hurry the process along by pulling my hand into her mouth each time.

Story of the day...

This morning I laid Kayla in Jack's crib long enough for me to change Jack's diaper. She had been refusing to take a nap in her bed all morning so when she quieted down in Jack's crib I decided to leave her there. After changing Jack's diaper he followed me out of his room into the office and I sat down to check the email. He left the room shortly after I turned on the computer. I assumed he had gone to the living room to play. That was my first mistake. When I was done on the computer I went to check on Kayla because I still had not heard a peep out of her. What I found was Jack emptying the entire drawer under his crib...which houses all of the baby blankets...on top of his sister. Thankfully she was not smothered, and found the entire event quite amusing as you can see. Jack just looked up at me as he threw the last blanket in and said, "baby...night, night". I guess he thought she looked cold!

Kayla was posing in her outifit for Mama! Isn't she adorable :)

Brian taught Jack to squish his belly.

This is a picture of Jack...just being Jack. He sure makes life fun!

Kayla's whole face lights up when she smiles.

Kayla is really starting to like the exersaucer. Her little scarf on her head cracks me up. Even babies have to accessorize.

Mommy's little clone

People keep telling me that Kayla looks like me. I didn't really see it until my mom brought over this picture of me. I am 4 months and Kayla is 5 months in her picture.

A Life Celebrated

Brian's aunt Alice passed away on Monday night. She had battled brain cancer, but ultimately won. God has removed all the pain and suffering, and He holds her tightly now in His arms. She was loved and is greatly missed. Here is a picture of her and her husband Dan (Beth's brother) taken in 2004 on an Alaskan cruise.

New pics of baby Olivia

Here are some more pics of my sisiter's baby Olivia. They live in London, England. Isn't she a beauty!? She is 6 weeks old in the first picture and 7 weeks in the second pic.

Kayla girl

Yesterday she watched the Steelers beat the Browns with daddy in her bumbo.

Kayla is in our room for the time being. One morning we woke up and looked over to find her little hand peaking out.

Peek-a-boo baby...

The monthly bumbo pic.

It is hard to believe Kayla is just over 5 months old! She gains more personality every day and loves to smile. While I don't know how much she weighs right now I know she is long! She is already in 6-9 months in sleepers. She loves to roll all over the floor. And when she gets really mad while fighting sleep she gets up on all fours and sticks her tush in the air. Both of our children are truly a gift from above.

Cousin Michael comes to visit...

Over labor day weekend my brother Jason, his wife Sarah, and their son Michael came to visit. I didn't get any good pictures of Jason and Sarah but I did get a lot with Michael. He is almost exactly a year older than Jack and they had a great time playing together!

After much playtime outside we let them take a bath together.
They had a great time playing with Uncle Isaac's squirt guns!

Michael is a litte lover boy that loves to give hugs.

We took the boys to Inniswood park to see the bug display on Saturday. While we did park their strollers under the giant ant for a picture, we didn't ask them to hold hands.
They did that on their own! :)
