Brian and I find this video to be evidence why it is always better to have more than one child. Jack and Kayla are quite the partners in crime. On Wednesday I had the gate up in the kitchen and left the room to check on the other baby that was staying at our house. I suddenly heard giggles coming from the kitchen and returned to see what they were up to. Kayla had figured out that I had not secured the bottom of the gate and she was holding it up so Jack could crawl through and escape with her!

Sleepin like a baby...

This is Kayla's ornery face!

Even though Kayla is not walking yet she gets around just fine. In fact, she might just be the the missing link that we evolved from monkeys!...ok, maybe not...

Fun Times outside

This picture was taken a few days ago. Jack has been quite independent lately and insisted on blowing bubbles all by himself.

The rest of these pictures were taken yesterday. We had an absolutely beautiful, sunny day in the 70s. Jack and Mommy spent most of the morning outside, and then in the afternoon Kayla got to play outside.

Just bein' silly...
This picture is proof she has hair!!!

I realized Kayla never really touched the grass last summer since she wasn't crawling yet. She had fun crawling on and off the blanket yesterday trying to figure out if she like the feeling of it or not.

Happy Birthday Kayla!

I can't believe a year has already gone by! Time flies by way to fast these days. You are more fun than we ever could have imagined. I love to watch you discover new things every day. Mainly just new ways to torture your brother! :) You give the best hugs and wet kisses. And I love how you hang on my leg until I finally pick you up. You love music now and will bounce up and down to the beat...well really to your own beat. You are the fastest crawler I have ever seen. Mom-maw says you remind her of how Isaac used to crawl...fast and with a purpose. And one day soon you are going to take off walking. Thanks for being my little girl!

"Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him." Psalm 127:3

Only Daddy's are really good at holding up a load this big!

Note the legs on that boy!

More bathtime fun...

Too cool for my shades!

Practicing funny faces with Daddy.

Not the peas Mom!

This is what Kayla does if you say "Where's Kayla?"

You know she's thinking, "I'm right here silly!"

Jack sleeping Dec '06

You would think I would learn not to leave the Cheerios within arms reach. Both pics Kayla has her mouth packed with Cheerios, and in the above picture she was looking up at Jack. I think she was grunting "thank you".

Same mess in Dec '06! I did clean the floors between messes!
