Cousin Meadow
This past weekend we finally got to meet cousin Meadow that lives in NC. Meadow is four weeks older than Kayla. She is sitting up already but not crawling, and Kayla is crawling but not sitting up. The girls had fun playing together, in fact, we kept messing up their playtime by trying to get them to pose for the camera. If you can't tell from the pics, Meadow is a little ham already! :)
Shortly after arriving we realized the girls were wearing coordinating outfits...
completely unplanned!
While attempting to get a picture of just the girls Kayla decided to suck on Meadow's toes. I think Meadow knows what's about to happen.

Siblings
There were many days at the end of my pregnancy with Kayla that I wondered how I would handle having two babies so close together. But now I can honestly say it is such a blessing. Kayla and Jack develop more love for each other every day. Jack asks about her first thing in the morning and makes sure to give her a kiss before bedtime. And no one, not even mommy or daddy, can make Kayla giggle or smile like Jack can.
Two years old!
Jack Ryan turned two on Monday. Over the weekend both sets of grandparents were here to visit and open presents. Jack is such a little man now. He even ate his cake with a fork!...I know...what fun is that! He has such a fun sense of humor and he is 100% Daddy's boy for sure. Overall, it was a great birthday...except for Elmo...
Still excited...
Not so excited! Jack got a new Tickle Me Elmo for his birthday. If you have not seen one the best way to describe it is to say it is like Elmo with periodic convulsions. Elmo is now back in the box in the living room and Jack will often walk up to it and say, "Elmo, night, night."

6 months old
Times flies when you're havin fun, and we sure have a lot of it at our house with two little ones around. Kayla is now 15lbs 4oz and 26". She has two teeth and can get just about anywhere she wants to go. She isn't quite crawling, it looks more like an inch worm making it's way across the floor. Jack was almost 9 months before he even attempted to crawl, but he had mommy to hand all of his toys to him. Kayla has to fight for every toy she gets with big brother around!
I am not sure I could have posed her any cuter.
She loves to keep her tongue over her new teeth.
